Fernbank is one of the most unforgettable venues for a reception ~ where else can you dine and dance underneath massive dinosaur skeletons? The whole place is a photographer's dream. We also had the honor of photographing Fernbank's special events staff Jessica Foerst and Laura Brock's weddings in 2009!
When the Four Seasons Hotel contacted us this week to request some updated photos of events we have photographed there, we immediately jumped on designing a nice new book for them to show prospective clients. This is one of the most gorgeous hotels in town and here are some of the book's page layouts I have designed so far:
No weddings until February - so in the meantime, I will be posting more random stuff like this!
Greenville,S.C.: we started the day at this awesome loft in an old textile mill (that I want to move into immediately!!). Whitney and her girls were getting their hair & make-up done there and we snapped a few candids before heading to the church.
Buncombe St.UMC in downtown Greenville was ready for the crowds to arrive!
Andy and the guys were hilarious and were also experts in well-timed "that's what she said" zingers:
Whitney's Vera Wang dress was perfect for this winter wedding:
The ceremony is about to start:
By the way , a shout-out goes to Jonathan from Atlanta's Evolution Video, who came to Greenville with us and filmed everything!
The Poinsett Club served as the perfect spot for the 450 guest reception:
The reception was decked out with winter-themed crystals and white flowers:
Atlanta band Simply Irresistable put on a huge show and the dance floor was so crazy that by the end of the night, I couldn't even get near it for pictures! They played everything from Lady Gaga to Michael Jackson.
Buffets of shrimp & grits, beef tenderloin, BBQ sliders and veggies were everywhere:
Cookies and milk were passed around after dinner!
This is the typical reaction to any Journey song:
Congrats Whitney & Andy ~ have a great trip to Mexico! We'll all be thinking of you while we are freezing up here!
